Saudi Group for Interventional Pulmonology

The Saudi Group of Interventional Pulmonology (SGIP), a subsidiary of the Saudi Thoracic Society comprises a group of Pulmonologists with a special expertise and interest in the field of Interventional Pulmonology. We are devoted to enhance multidisciplinary and international collaboration in our effort to develop and improve techniques and procedures that will benefit our patients with tracheo-bronchial and pleural diseases.

Mission

To advance the care of patients with thoracic diseases through the synergy of innovative technologies, minimally invasive procedures, and transformative education and research.

Vision

Become a national and regional leader in helping patients breathes easier and live longer through minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.

Goals

  1. To conduct educational activities for the public and health care professionals.
  2. To collaborate for better care of patients with various tracheo-bronchial and pleural diseases.
  3. To conduct research projects in the various fields of Interventional Pulmonology.
  4. To disseminate awareness and knowledge about Interventional Pulmonology and the numerous effective management and treatment advancements in the field.
  5. To establish collaboration with other regional and international Interventional Pulmonology societies.
  6. To establish national data about patients with central airway, pleural diseases.
